Hidden treasure was found in the 19th Ward:
The Treasure Hunt is Finished for 2008
Square Fair was a great day. The Sun was hot, but a breeze all day kept things relatively comfortable in the shade. Pancakes, Sausage and Orange Juice for breakfast, TOPS Italian Sausage, Zweigles Hots, Peppers and Onions for Lunch, Fresh Squeezed Lemonade, Ice Cream and lots of talent on the Main Stage was a fabulous complement to the Horseback Rides, Inflatable Obstacle Course and Plant, Clothing, Books, Fragrances and lots of other items for sale by local vendors and neighbors.
All the prizes were handed out either to winning keys or through the Treasure Hunt Raffle. Thanks to all Sponsors and Participants. Check back here in late April or early May for next year's adventure.

The 19th Ward Treasure Hunt began on Wednesday May 21, 2008 and ends at the 19th Ward Square Fair on Saturday June 7. Check out the Weblog page for updates.
Check out the Prizes page. We have some additional goodies added.
There are 3 ways to win. Each involves finding one of the 1000 keys that gives you a chance to claim one of the prizes. The keys will be clearly tagged.

1. Solve the clues to find a small container hidden in the 19th Ward containing 100 keys. Take only one!!
2. Find one of the 600 keys set out (some each day of the Hunt) in public places in the 19th ward and throughout Monroe County.
3. Shop at one of the participating sponsor's stores to find one of the 300 additional keys. Each sponsor will set out a few keys each day in and around their stores.
4. Take your key to Square Fair and if it does not open one of the locks, then turn it in to be eligible for a raffle for additional prizes. Any unclaimed "key prizes" will be added to the raffle to be held at 3:00 pm.
To win a prize, bring your key to the 19th Ward Square Fair on Saturday, June 7th in Aberdeen Square, on Aberdeen Street between Post and Woodbine Avenues. About 20 of the keys will open one of the locks at Square Fair, entitling the holder to pick from a choice of prizes donated by the Treasure Hunt sponsors.
